Abstract:

This article discusses the testing of software product lines. The authors note that software product line engineering has allowed organizations to develop software applications with less effort and time than in the past, and the article seeks to find newer and more effective ways of testing these product lines for defects. The article then introduces a Scenario-based Test Cause Derivation system for testing these product lines, and notes that the new system facilitates the systematic, requirements-based derivation of system test cases that is often utilized in software product line testing.; This article discusses the testing of software product lines.
