Abstract:

The Siemens AG, Medical Solutions HS IM, develops the COSMOS™ product line of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) in the radiology domain. The paper describes the ScenTED approach of the University Duisburg-Essen for deriving and maintaining system test cases for a product line, i.e., a set of systems exposing similar behavior. The approach was implemented at Siemens in an ongoing project; it enhanced the traceability of system test cases and let to a reduction of test derivation effort by 50%.
