Abstract:
The article demonstrates the importance of an autonomous epistemology of school mathematics (in comparison with scientific mathematics). This is especially examplified with respect to the concept of probability. The understanding and the learning of mathematical concepts are closely connected with the available means of representation (of the mathematical knowledge) and the means of activity (of the pupils).
