Global Trends 2007 is published by the Development and Peace Foundation (SEF), foundet in 1986 on the initative of Willy Brandt and based in Bonn, and the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF), established at the University of Duisburg-Essen in 1990 on the basis of a cooperation agreement with the SEF. Global Trends 2007 explores some of the key challenges arising in the first decade of the 21st century, drawing on the latest research findings and a wealth of statistical data. It combines factual information with well-structured analysis and recoomendations for policy action. The publication's particular strengths are its clear and accessible format and its interdisciplinary approach.
