The title complexes I (M = Ti, Zr, Hf; R = H, SiMe3) were prepd. as stable solids from the lithiated pyrroles and MCl4. The p-coordination of the azacyclopentadienyl ligands, as suggested from 13C NMR data, has been confirmed for I (M = Ti, R = H) by an x-ray diffraction study.
