Abstract:
The thiocyanation of 1,6-methano[10]annulene (I, R = H) affords, in addn. to the thiocyanate I (R = thiocyanato), the unexpected isothiocyanato isomer I (R = isothiocyanato), as well as the abnormal diisothiocyanate addn. product II. The structure of II is supported by x-ray anal. data.
