Abstract:

Coupling of an inductively plasma (ICP) excitation source of a simultaneous emission spectrometer with a polychromator by using an optical quartz fiber is described. For characterization of emission intensities, the background-equiv. concn. and the detection limits were used. Detection limits for Si, Mn, Ni, Al, Cr, and Mg (wavelength in parenthesis) are 91 (288.2), 54 (293.3), 117 (341.5), 67 (396.1), 83 (427.5), and 111 ppb (518.3 nm).
