Abstract:

A review with 15 refs. on the use of NIR spectrometry for the anal. of ions in aq. matrixes. Dissolved species can be detected not only by their own absorptions but also by changes of the spectrum of the aq. matrix. Examples for the NIR anal. of binary mixts. of inorg. salts, titrns. of acids with strong bases, and carbohydrate mixts. in water are presented. For all studies the evaluation of the spectra was done by multivariate principal component regression anal.
