Thiobacillus ferrooxidans, Thiobacillus thiooxidans, and L. ferrooxidans were used in bacterial leaching of the title ores contg. Cu 0.2, Zn 0.7, Mn 0.3, Ni 0.002, Mg 3.1, Co 0.01, and Fe 5.7%. The recoveries of Cu and Zn after 57 day leaching were 5 and 12%, resp. The low recoveries are due to the loss of leaching liquor.
