An app. consisting of an autoclave with 0.5 L vol., a flexible dropping Hg and compensation device, a 4-point elec. connection and 2 steel tubings for gas- and reactant supply, is described. It allows electrochem., esp. polarog. investigations of redox reactions and esp. of homogeneously catalyzed reactions up to pressures of 200 bar in polar solvents and also the prepn. of intermediates for reactants and catalysts. For illustration the disproportionation and comproportionation of dicobalt octacarbonyl in MeOH under N-, Ar-, CO-, H-pressure is discussed.
