Towards synthetic adrenaline receptors - strong binding of amino alcohols by bisphosphonates.
Using a simple benzylic bisphosphonate as a synthetic receptor for adrenaline derivs., the assocn. consts. between the receptor and biol. important 1,2-amino alcs. were measured using NMR titrns. in DMSO at 20 Deg and compared with the consts. for their resp. amines. The results suggest that the authors have indeed found a basic structural motif for a receptor of 1,2-amino alcs.
