Abstract:

Simultaneous Fourier-transform IR and stress-strain measurements were applied to monitor the onset, progress, and decay of strain-induced crystn. during cyclic loading-unloading of S-crosslinked natural rubber. The investigations also provided data in terms of the orientation of the av. polymer and the polymer chains in the strain-induced crystal phase.
