Measurement of molecular orientation in uniaxially drawn polyacrylonitrile films.
Orientation parameters related to the C.tplbond.N stretching vibration and the CH2 deformation vibration absorption bands in the three film coordinate directions were obtained from 3-dimensional measurements on uniaxially drawn polyacrylonitrile [25014-41-9] films with linearly polarized ir radiation. The ir data were combined with x-ray diffraction measurements to characterize the type and degree of mol. orientation.
