Functionalized track-etched membranes as versatile tool to investigate stimuli-responsive polymers for \"smart\" nano- and microsystems.
The focus of this work is a systematic evaluation of temp.-responsive polymer systems, based pn N-iso-Pr acrylamide in the pores of polyethylene terephthalate track-etched membranes with nominal pore diams. of 0.4 and 3.0 mm. Systems were identified which can effectively and reversibly block water flow through the largest membrane pores (3 mm) at pressures of ?3 bar.
