Abstract:

A 2D expts. capable of detecting very slow mol. reorientations is proposed, which makes use of spinning sidebands obsd. in magic-angle-spinning spectra. An expression describing the spinning side band intensities of the 2D spectrum is given. The expt. is applied to dimethylsulfone. Exptl. and calcd. spectra show agree.
