Abstract:

No drastic change in the 13C NMR relaxation properties occurs in isotactic poly(Me methacrylate) [25188-98-1] on passing through the glass transition temp. Only in the rotating frame, a significant change is obsd. for the proton R1r and for the measured carbon R1r of the backbone CH2 group. The changes in backbone mobility were thus monitored even though it was slow on the NMR time scale.
