1H-129Xe double resonance NMR in a polymer blend.
Cross-polarization spectra of xenon adsorbed in polypropylene/ethylene-propylene copolymer blend have been obtained. The temp. dependence of the magnetization transfer from 1H to 129Xe is shown and a 2D 1H-129Xe correlation spectrum is presented. From the spectra it appears that, at the applied temp. (243 K), only xenon adsorbed in the polypropylene matrix gives a CP signal, not the xenon adsorbed in the more mobile copolymer phase.
