Carbon-13 and silicon-29 NMR investigations of glass-filled polymer composites.
Combinations of nylon 6, g-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, and glass microspheres were studied by 13C and 29Si CP/MAS NMR to det. adhesion mechanisms on a mol. level. The effects of the coupler and its mode of introduction were studied and related to the crystallinity of the polymer on the surface of the filler.
