Rate consts. for the reaction between OH radicals and NO2 were detd. at 213-300 K by using a discharge flow system with resonance fluorescence detection of OH. The 3rd order rate const. k at 300 K was (1.0 +- 0.4)10-30 and (4.0 +- 0.5)10-30 cm6 s-1 for He and CO2, resp. The temp. dependence of the low pressure limiting rate const. with He as a 3rd body may be expressed in the form kHe(T) = (1.5 +- 0.4)10-23T-(2.9+-0.3)cm6 s-1. Rate consts. for the quenching of the A2S+ state of the OH radical by N2 and CO2 are also reported.
