Kinetics of the reactions of hydroxyl radicals with some halocarbons (chlorodifluoromethane, chlorofluoromethane, 1-chloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane, 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane, 1,1-difluoroethane) in the temperature range 260-370 K.
The rates of reactions of OH radicals with CHClF2, CH2ClF, CH2ClCF3, CH3CClF2 (at 260-370 K), and CH3CHF2 (at 293 K) were detd. by using stationary flash photolysis combined with OH UV-resonance absorption detection. The implication of the rate data with respect to the tropospheric degrdn. of the halocarbons is discussed.
