Abstract:

The rate const. (k01) for the reaction between OH and vibrationally excited H2, OH + H2 (n = 1) -> H2O + H, was measured directly at 298 K; k01 is (7.5 +- 3) * 10-13 cm3/mol.-s, corresponding to a vibrational rate enhancement of k01/k00 = (1.2 +- 0.4) * 102.
