Learner Autonomy Special Interest Group
Together with IATEFL / LASIG, the Applied Linguistics-Didactics Section of the Dept. of Anglophone Studies at the University of Duisburg-Essen will host a one-day conference on autonomy in language learning on November 26th, 2010.
We would like to invite you to discuss your ideas and experiences concerning learner autonomy and its practical implications with us.
On the day there are going to be plenary speakers, workshops for more in depth discussions and the opportunity for poster presentations.
Considering the fact that learner autonomy is a relevant topic in all kinds of language learning and teaching scenarios, sub groups with the following foci might be formed: Technology in Language Learning, CLIL, Young Learners, Learner Autonomy and Related Concepts, Teacher Training and Learner Autonomy in the Tertiary Sector.
As the title suggests, success stories as well as more critical contributions are very welcome.
